Before the Town of Clinton acquired Rauscher Farm, it had been a family-owned dairy and cattle farm for generations. Pages throughout this website show some of the volunteer work done to convert this former farm and maintain it as conservation and recreation land.
Enhancements for conservation and for public enjoyment are ongoing. Current projects include:
- Clearing and planting a native pollinator meadow nursery
- Planning a universal access path from Clamshell Road to Clamshell Pond
- Managing invasive Purple Loosestrife in our wetlands
- Creating brush piles as habitat
