Thirty-acre Clamshell Pond lies adjacent to Rauscher Farm. As a state-designated great pond it is open for public use. Visitors can enjoy the pond from Rauscher Farm’s shore or in non-motorized car-top boats launched from Rauscher Farm.
The pond is a habitat for aquatic plants and wildlife including bass, pickerel, bluegills, turtles, frogs, salamanders, dragon flies, resident and migrating birds, beavers, otters, and thirsty forest wildlife.
